So keeping things rolling, I'm going to start out today's post were I left off in my comment and ask this question:

How do we replace our Worldly dependencies?

Well, the answer is simple, but the path isn't quite as easy.  God already replaced our dependencies.  How he did it though, wasn't quite so simple.  You see he did that before you were born, as a LOVING gift to us all and with you and I specifically in mind.  When Jesus went to the cross and died for our sins, He as the holy trinity became everyone's dependency.  All we have to do is accept it and live it.

Accepting that gift is quick, living up to it is the hard part.  You see, the World doesn't give up that easily, and it will try and try to continue to replace God as our dependency.  It's not easy to depend on God when the whole World seeks to derail you from that path. 

As history proved and as God himself told us, the World will seek to bring us down, torture us, tempt us, give us fake promises, make fun of us, and generally just work against us.  AND WE WILL WITHOUT A DOUBT FAIL, NOT ONCE BUT MANY TIMES!  You know why?  Because we aren't God and the World is tempting.  Sin is nothing new, just like there is no light without darkness. 

Here is the kicker though, through Jesus, God knew temptation, so he knows where we are coming from.  You hear that?  HE KNOWS!  He is less harsh on us than we are on ourselves.  Once we accept Jesus and God, our sins are forgiven.  Past, present, and future.

HOWEVER, it doesn't end there.  The problem with this is we aren't just given free rein to continue to sin and then say sorry at the end.  We still have to try and follow His teachings, His way of life, and keep being 100% dependent on Him despite everything that works against us.
